Quick start guide for new LucidLink users

LucidLink is a single place for your team to collaborate with shared files anywhere without waiting for slow downloads and duplicating files in multiple storage locations. If your team has recently jo`ined LucidLink, this guide will help you get set up so you can get started. Before you dive in, make sure you’ve downloaded the desktop app and you’re able to connect to your filespace.

 

 

To connect to a LucidLink filespace that your team is already using, you need to ask your administrator for the following information.

  1. Filespace and domain name
  2. Your username
  3. Your temporary password

Next follow the steps below and you will be up and running in a couple of minutes.

  1. Download the LucidLink desktop app
  2. Enter the Filespace and domain names in this format myfilespace.mydomain
  3. Enter your username
  4. Enter your password
  5. Change your password

❗️LucidLink cannot restore your password due to security Zero Knowledge service. If you lose your password, your admin needs to reset it for you.

If you are the workspace / domain creator (root user), there is no way a forgotten password can be restored by any LucidLink employee. Please keep this password somewhere safe.
