Getting started for standard users

  • Updated

LucidLink is a centralized platform for your team to collaborate on shared files from anywhere, eliminating the need for slow downloads and preventing file duplication across multiple storage locations. If your team has recently joined LucidLink, this guide will assist you in getting set up so you can begin using it effectively.

Accept an invite

  1. Click on the invite link that your workspace owner has sent to you.
  2. If you don't have a LucidLink account associated with the email address that was invited, please create one. If you already have an account, log in with that email.

  3. Click Accept invite.

Invite links are valid only for a range of email addresses specified by the workspace owner at the time of creating the invite. If you would like to use a different email address to access this workspace, contact the workspace owner and ask them to create a new invite link for you.

Connect to a filespace

  1. Download and install the LucidLink desktop app from https://lucidlink.com/download
  2. From the desktop app, log in to your account using your email and password.
  3. Click on the filespace you want to connect to.
  4. Once the filespace is connected, click Open filespace.

If you don't see any filespaces upon logging into your account, please reach out to your workspace owner to verify that you have been assigned the correct access and permissions.

Use a filespace

LucidLink filespaces appear as a network drive on your workstation.

To upload files, simply drag and drop them into the filespace. You can upload to any folders to which you have Can edit permissions.

You can easily open any desktop applications that work with local files and import files directly from your filespace into your projects—no need to sync, download, or copy files elsewhere.
