This article outlines the steps necessary for LucidLink workspace owners to cancel their subscriptions and prevent future billing.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To effectively cancel your LucidLink subscription and prevent any subsequent charges, a two-step process involving the deletion of all filespaces and then the deletion of the workspace is required.
Delete your filespaces
To cancel your subscription, you'll first need to delete all filespaces linked to your account. Although your subscription is managed at the workspace level, active filespaces can still incur charges. Deleting these filespaces will stop billing for them after the current period. Please be aware that this action is permanent, and data from a deleted filespace cannot be recovered.
Even after deleting all filespaces, your workspace and subscription will remain active. To fully cancel and prevent future charges, you must also delete your workspace.
To delete your filespaces, please follow the guide here: Delete a filespace
Delete your workspaces
Once all of your filespaces are deleted, you must delete your workspace(s) to fully cancel your LucidLink subscription and stop future charges. This will end your billing with us. Charges will continue through the end of the current billing period in which you delete the workspace. If you delete mid-cycle, you'll still be charged for that period. To avoid charges for the next cycle, delete the workspace within the current billing period.

Account Termination
Deleting your workspace is the primary method for terminating your account with LucidLink and preventing future charges.
Important Considerations
It is important to review the considerations detailed below prior to initiating the cancellation process.
- Billing Basics
Please take a look at the Billing basics article before initiating the cancellation of your subscription. - Billing Cycle
Please note that even after deleting your workspace, you will still be charged for the current billing period. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle when you delete the workspace, not immediately. Expect a final charge for the service period during which you canceled. - Data Backup
Before you begin the process of deleting your filespaces and workspace(s), it is crucial to back up any data you wish to keep. The deletion of both filespaces and workspaces is an irreversible action, and once completed, all data contained within them will be permanently lost. Please ensure you have copies of all important files and folders in a separate storage location before proceeding with cancellation. - Custom Storage
If your LucidLink filespace uses a custom storage provider, deleting the filespace does not remove the data from your storage bucket. To avoid ongoing storage charges, you must manage and delete the data and/or bucket using your cloud storage provider's tools. - Lost or forgotten password
If you lose both your workspace owner credentials and backup code, you won't be able to cancel your subscription as described. If this happens, please contact support at the following link: https://support.lucidlink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Please keep in mind that we don't have a way to restore your access to the workspace, we could only help you with the cancellation of your subscription.
