This article is part of the New LucidLink Single Sign-On (SSO) SAML 2.0 implementation series of articles.
Overview
Configuring 1 or more Email Domains for your Workspace enables you to:
- Create an invitation link that people within these domains can use to join.
- Configure SSO authentication settings.
Requirements
- Admin access to your Email Domain DNS settings to create the TXT Record
Start the setup of your organization's email domain
From the LucidLink Webportal, click on the 3-dot menu next to the Workspace name and click on the Domain management option.
Click the Add email domain button enter your organization's email domain and hit Save.
Note: You can add up to 25 different email domains to your workspace.
Once you have added at least 1 email domain, you can click on the Verify button, and then the Generate code button.
Note: Domains can be verified at individual times, but once a verification code has been generated, it is valid for 14 days until the process has to be started over again.
Verify your organization's email domain
Access your domain provider’s DNS configuration
You’ll need to access your domain provider and locate the section where you can edit the DNS settings.
Create a new TXT record in the DNS settings
In the domain’s DNS settings, create a new TXT record and use the code in the LucidLink Webportal for its value.
The value should look similar to this example: lucidlink-verification=Y6G2WR2FPY8ZYKV04KJJ291T2M.
Wait for the record to become public
LucidLink will detect the update and complete the process automatically.
Note: It may take up to 72 hours for a new DNS record to be propagated across the Internet..
You have done it!
You are now able to configure SSO for your workspace.
