LucidLink Management Platform

We are excited to announce the launch of LucidLink Management Platform. This Beta release introduces foundational tools for our reseller partners to manage their client organizations.

Reseller Capabilities

The new Platform provides resellers with a management interface for creating and overseeing client organizations and subscriptions.

Key Features:

• Client Organization Management: Resellers can now create and manage client organizations directly from the partner portal, including the ability to view storage, members and client details.
• FreeTrial Flow: Partners can create trials for their prospective clients.
• Enhanced Client Details: Comprehensive client details panel showing organization information, workspace status, billing details, and member metrics including peak member counts.
• Clients dashboard: Monitor all client organizations with a summary for their status, usage vs capacity and renewal dates.

LucidLink Connect

• LucidLink Connect enables direct streaming of the contents of existing external data stores such as S3 object storage without the need to first copy data into the filespace.
• Configure data stores and link external assets via the LucidLink API.
• Swagger documentation available via the latest version of the API Gateway container.
• External entries linked via LucidLink Connect are read-only and are accessible through all supported LucidLink platforms (desktop, mobile, web).

Read Performance and Stability

• High-Bandwidth macOS Optimisation: In high-speed network environments, macOS users should now see drastically improved performance when reading from the cloud storage as the app can now fully saturate and utilize all available bandwidth.
• Cloud-Read Hang Fix: Resolved an issue where reading from the cloud could occasionally hang for approximately 30 seconds on specific system configurations.

Update Notification Control

You can now choose whether the LucidLink desktop app notifies you when a new version is available. 

This is managed via a new configuration file, client-settings.json, located in your .lucid folder. By setting the showUpdateNotifications field to false, you can silence these prompts. This is ideal for users who prefer manual updates or admins managing deployments via MDM.
