Release notes for build #8540 release July 25, 2026

  • Updated

Build 3.7.8540

New Features

Universal Links for macOS

LucidLink direct links now open automatically in the Desktop App on macOS. When a user clicks a LucidLink direct link from a browser, email client, or any other application, macOS routes it to the Desktop App via Apple's Universal Links, removing the browser interstitial step.

Upgrade Tool enhancements

The LucidLink service snapshot created as part of the Upgrade Tool process in the new filespace is now automatically deleted once the Classic filespace is decommissioned, thus automatically freeing up occupied storage.

Filespace admin enhancements

Filespace admins can now grant or revoke access to existing workspace groups in the filespace they manage.

The ability to add and remove members from a group remains managed by workspace admins.

Other improvements

  • Users with both an SSO identity and a LucidLink password can now create workspaces.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where accessing a member's or group’s permissions could fail to load in workspaces containing many filespaces.
