Release notes for build #8942, release Oct 06, 2026

  • Updated

Build 3.9.8942

New Features

API Key Restrictions (LMP API)

Administrators managing LucidLink Management Platform (LMP) API keys can now restrict what each key is allowed to do. When creating an API key, you can limit it to specific IP addresses and choose which resources it can read or write.

  • Restrictions are optional; keys created without them keep full access, exactly as before.
  • Per-key audit logs and a consolidated usage endpoint across all customers are planned for a future release.

LucidLink Connect

Users with access to LucidLink Connect can now create and manage data stores and connect external files directly through the web and desktop apps. External files connected in this manner will be available for instant streaming without the need for download from any supported LucidLink platform.

Important Notes

  • Connecting files requires the provider’s CORS policy to expose the ETag (for S3 providers only) and Content-Range (for both S3 and HTTP-based providers) headers, or browsing and connecting will fail.
  • Only HTTPS URLs are supported.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where malformed IP address entries in API key restrictions could be silently accepted and stored as a different address than the one entered.

Other Improvements

  • Upgrade Tool: Optimized directory caching to reduce performance bottlenecks in environments with large or dense folder hierarchies.
  • The LMP API now returns each organization member's activation status (new or active) in member responses.
  • Updated LMP API documentation in the developer portal.
