Release notes for build #8641 release Aug 17, 2026

  • Updated

Build 3.7.8641

Desktop notifications for connection issues

LucidLink now uses native OS notifications on macOS, Windows, and Linux to alert you when the connection to a critical service — such as your object storage or the LucidLink hub — is lost. You'll stay informed about your connection status so you can act on it. More notification types are coming in future releases.

Note for macOS users: notifications must be enabled for LucidLink under System Settings > Notifications. You'll be prompted to allow them the first time a notification is triggered.

Bug fixes

  • The filespace upgrade tool now works in environments where internet access goes through an HTTP proxy. Proxy detection is automatic; the upgrade tool utilizes the operating system's proxy configuration, including auto-configuration (PAC) scripts.

  • Upgrades from Classic previously failed when proxy compatibility was required. Kerberos proxies remain unsupported for Classic Upgrades. In these environments, configure a proxy exception for the machine performing the upgrade.
