How to Install LucidLink on macOS

We would also advise you to review our system requirements, as operating system and infrastructure prerequisites are updated regularly.

 

1. Download the LucidLink macOS Installer

Download the latest LucidLink client for macOS from the LucidLink website.

Once downloaded, locate the installer file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click it to begin installation.

 

 

2. Start the Installation Wizard

When the installer opens:

  • Review the introduction screen

  • Click Continue to proceed

3. Accept the Software License Agreement

  • Review the Software License Agreement

  • Click Continue

  • When prompted, click Agree to continue the installation
    (Selecting Disagree will cancel the installer)

4. Choose Install Location

  • The default install location is recommended for most users

  • Click Install to continue

5. Authenticate the Installation

You’ll be prompted to authorize the installation using:

  • Your macOS administrator password, or

  • Touch ID (if supported)

Enter your credentials and click Continue.

6. Complete Installation

Please wait while the installer completes.
Once finished, the LucidLink client will launch automatically.

7. Log In to Your Account

If you don’t already have a LucidLink account, you can register from the login screen.

After signing in, you’ll see:

  • Any workspaces you own

  • Any workspaces you’ve been invited to collaborate on

To connect to a filespace:

  1. Navigate to the desired Workspace

  2. Select the filespace

  3. Click Connect

Once connected, click Open filespace to open it in macOS Finder.

8. Access Your Filespace in Finder

After connecting:

  • The filespace opens automatically in Finder, or via Open filespace

  • By default, the filespace is mounted in /Volumes

  • A shortcut is added to the Finder favourites sidebar for quick access
